These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Abiyoga.lk, including the website, apps, and APIs (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Abiyoga.lk (“Abiyoga”, “we”, “us”).
By creating an account, ticking “I agree”, requesting an OTP, or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must review and accept them on your behalf.
1. What Abiyoga is
Abiyoga is an online educational platform for Grade 5 Scholarship and similar exam preparation. We provide practice questions, exam papers, scores, and related tools. We are not the Ministry of Education and we do not issue official scholarships, certificates, or government exam results.
Results on Abiyoga are for practice and learning only.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must provide accurate information (name, mobile number, grade, and any other details we ask).
- One person may use one student account unless we agree otherwise.
- You are responsible for keeping your phone and OTP codes private. We may treat actions taken with a verified OTP as yours.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, abuse the platform, or create legal or security risk.
3. Consent to collect and store your information
When you sign up and use Abiyoga, you consent to us collecting, storing, and using:
- Mobile number (required to create the account and send OTPs)
- Name, grade, and other registration details
- Exam attempts, answers, scores, and history
- Technical logs reasonably needed to run and secure the Service
This data is stored in our database and with related hosting providers so we can operate the Service, identify you, send OTPs, show papers for your grade, keep exam history, and support you.
You may ask us to correct or delete personal data where the law allows. Some records (for example completed exam attempts) may be kept where we have a legitimate need (security, abuse prevention, or legal obligation).
4. Consent to send SMS / OTP to your mobile
By requesting an OTP or completing registration you consent to Abiyoga (and our SMS provider) sending one-time passwords and service messages to the mobile number you entered.
- OTPs are for verification and login only. Do not share them.
- Standard SMS charges from your mobile operator may apply.
- Delivery depends on your network; we are not liable if an SMS is delayed or not delivered.
- You can stop using the Service if you no longer want OTPs. Closing the account does not reverse messages already sent.
5. Ownership of questions, papers, and content
All questions, exam papers, images, explanations, layouts, software, trademarks, and other content on Abiyoga belong to Abiyoga.lk (or our licensors), unless we clearly say otherwise.
You must not, without our written permission:
- Copy, screenshot, photograph, record, scrape, download, or republish questions or papers.
- Publish any Abiyoga question or paper on websites, social media, WhatsApp/Telegram groups, printed books, tuition classes, or anywhere else.
- Reuse Abiyoga questions in any other exam paper, worksheet, mock test, or commercial product.
- Share answers or full papers in a way that lets others cheat or copy our bank.
- Reverse-engineer, crawl, or bulk-export the question bank.
You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to view and attempt papers inside Abiyoga for your own study. That licence ends if we close your account or you stop using the Service.
If you leak or reuse our questions, we may suspend the account, invalidate attempts, and take legal action (including claiming damages and costs).
6. Fair use of exams
- Follow on-screen instructions. Do not use bots, multiple accounts, or other cheating to distort scores.
- Timed exams and scoring are as implemented on the platform; we may correct technical errors.
- We may limit retakes, pause sessions, or change availability for operational or academic-integrity reasons.
- Past scores are not a guarantee of performance in the official scholarship exam.
7. Payments
Paid papers (if offered) are described at the time of purchase. Unless the law requires otherwise, digital exam access is non-refundable once a paper is started. Pricing and free versus paid papers may change.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Harass staff or other users
- Upload malware or attack our systems
- Impersonate another student or a parent
- Use the Service for anything illegal
- Circumvent paywalls, grade restrictions, or access controls
9. Disclaimers
- Content is provided “as is”. We aim for accuracy but questions, answers, and explanations may contain errors.
- We do not guarantee admission, scholarship, or a particular mark in any official exam.
- We do not replace school, teachers, or official syllabi.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by Sri Lankan law:
- We are not liable for lost marks, exam stress, device or network failure, SMS non-delivery, third-party hosting/SMS/payment outages, or unofficial use of leaked questions.
- Our total liability for a claim related to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim, or LKR 5,000 if you paid nothing, except where the law does not allow that limit.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Abiyoga against claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the platform, your publication or reuse of our questions, or your breach of these Terms.
12. Intellectual property complaints
If you believe content on Abiyoga infringes your rights, write to us with details. If we published your material in error, we will review and, where appropriate, remove or credit it.
User-submitted content (if any) must not infringe others’ rights. You grant us a licence to store and display it as needed to run the Service.
13. Children and parents
This Service is aimed at Grade 5 Scholarship candidates (typically children). A parent or guardian should supervise registration, OTP access, and study time. By accepting these Terms you confirm you are the student or a parent/guardian acting for the student.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms, unless the law requires us to ask again. Material changes may be notified on the site or by SMS where practical.
15. Termination
You may stop using Abiyoga at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, inactivity, legal risk, or if we shut down the Service. Sections on ownership of questions, liability, and indemnity survive termination.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Courts in Sri Lanka have jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you additional rights that cannot be waived.
17. Contact
For privacy, account, or legal notices, use the contact details published on abiyoga.lk.
